Fabi Dias Lalande, DNP, RN

Fabi Lalande joined the nursing workforce in 2006 as a nurse assistant. She had just immigrated to the USA and entered nursing school. This marked her first experience with patient care, setting the stage for her subsequent career path of caring for others.

Transitioning to registered nurse post-graduation, she embraced diverse roles and responsibilities, from serving as a staff nurse,  charge nurse, nursing preceptor, and staff educator. However, watching her first senior student go from timid and scared to a proactive critical thinker sparked her passion for nursing education, leading her to pursue her career as a nursing professor. 

 

Now, with a doctorate in nursing education and over a decade of academic experience, she is motivated to broaden her horizons and help every aspiring nurse achieve her dreams. Fabi strives to create an environment that fosters growth and empowers students to become critical thinkers. Her professional journey has been guided by her love for teaching and desire to help her students reach their goals.
